Reese is a female Collie-mix who was surrendered to Tanner's PAWS after being given away, then found as a stray twice. Her story tugged at our heart strings and one of our wonderful foster volunteers agreed to take Reese in and show her the love she has always deserved. We were elated to bring her into rescue and allow her to live out the life of an indoor-only dog. Reese, a 6-7 yr old brindle-coated collie mix, made herself right at home today. Before being rescued by Tannner's P.A.W.S. she was neglected and forced to live in a dismal outdoor shelter all her life. She is healthy, gentle and loving and smart, and she has really taken to the good life like she was meant to have it all along. Dog friendly? Yes, Reese gets on well with other dogs. So much so that Id like to see her with a family that has a dog. Cat friendly? She has run into a few cats along our walks and she has had zero reaction to them. Does that qualify as being friendly?...I think so. Child friendly? Very much soall ages. Housebroken? Yep. Crate trained? I dont put her in a crate so I really dont know. There is one in the house with the door open and she hangs out in it sometimes. I have tried to coax her in a couple times and shes a little resistant. I havent pushed it because she is so good around the house. Leash trained? Very much so. Not a puller at all. Favorite toys? Reese doesnt play. She just hangs. What is their personality like? A lover. A leaner. A follower. Gentle and sweet. I have had her for 2 weeks now and I still have not heard a peep out of her. Quiet as a mouse. Endearing characteristics? Reese is a very sweet girl. Very receptive to being loved. Shed be a great companion for another dog, for children, for an elderly person, for anyone. I love Reeses to pieces! Reese will be spayed, vet-checked, vaccinated, de-wormed, heartworm/Lyme tested, and flea/tick treated prior to adoption.
